Dear Phil,

Attached you'll find the data, as already announced by Klaus Fraedrich.
The data are divided into 2 parts and a readme file:

TDZ93 for 1898-1993, and TDZ9495 from 1994.

Greetings from Hamburg,

Frank

Hi, Hera!
The enclosed is a Catalog for Dzerdzeevskii circulation
forms (types) in 2 files: TDZ93 for 1898-1993, and TDZ9495 from 1994.
These are Daily data in free ASCII-format (date and circulation form).
TDZ93 : year, month, day, type, day-with-the-type
TDZ9495: year, month, day, type
Code for missing data: . (point)
That is all what I have.
We used these data in comparison with Girs and Vangengeim typifications,
as well as with automatic ones. The detailed results are in Soros & RFBR
grants reports (1995,1996), and in Meteorology&Hydrology, 1996, 1-2.
There are publications in English too, but they are rather brief (as
reports): Past, Present and Future Climate, Academy of Finland, 6/95,
280-283;
6IMSC, Galway, Ireland,1995, 219-222.
Possibly, these results would be useful for you (but not necessary).
With best regards = Yours E.Ya.
