Dear all

I'd just like to point out that we are potentially heading
for a disastrous meeting on the 18th. Everyone is now
pitching in with ad-hoc rewrites of the science plan. Are we
going to debate each and every sentence of the plan in the
committee? If so, we will certainly do nothing else. I for
one disagree with a number of the points thus far suggested
for being written in, and I can see us being there all

My view remains that the science plan as written is, as it
should be, inclusive of practically all the science so far
suggested. We should keep it short, relatively general and
be particularly wary of specifically _excluding_ areas of
science. And we should move rapidly on to the implementation
plan -- what we propose to do -- which is actually what
